Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future.
Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies.
It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.
Appliances
can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new
appliances
should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Bad accessory for a great grill
docD

My wife got me this grill for Fathers Day and got me the Rotisserie Kit because we both love a good spit roast chicken or turkey breast. First the good - the forks are easy to adjust and tighten... the motor sits nicely on the side of the grill. The Bad - the counterweight isnt enough to offset most and manages to loosen itself a lot during roasts. The Worst - the spit comes in multiple pieces so it screws together which means that it also manages to unscrew itself all the time which can ruin the cook. Ive found I need to babysit it all the time and have had to tighten it on the fly in the middle of a hot cook.

Dont trust the handle

I have used the rotisserie several times over the past 18 months with great success. The individual parts are fairly robust with the exception of the spit rod handle. It is cheap plastic junk which broke during its second use making handling difficult. Only slightly less difficult than finding a replacement.

We purchased the Broil King Deluxe Rotisserie kit for the BBQ. What an invention We attached the plates to the BBQ in the predrilled holes then slipped the chicken through the rod balanced it with the included counter balance started up the BBQ and in now time had the best BBQ chicken It is a wonderful addition to our bbq. We then tried a pork roast and it was magnificent. I cannot say enough about how this little attachment has elevated bbqing to a whole new level. Thanks Broil King

Rotisserie Clicking and not turning

My BBQ has been great only had it for one week but as I am writing this the rotisserie has failed us. First time using this one many before and it will not turn makes excessive clicking sounds and the rod falls out. My conclusion is a bad motor and unit. Hoping that warranty would cover this???? Now we put the chicken on the grill and will BBQ it. But please reach out?

Motor Failed

Well I must say we love this Baron S590 grill and rotisserie burner. Max Stars for the grill Have had great success cooking great tasting chickens using the included rotisserie kit. I think I found its breaking point with two 8 pound birds rotating. I always try to balance as well as I can but something in the gearing failed and would only rotate part way then reverse and could hear clattering from the motor. Now Im in search for a stronger replacement because I will continue to use this great rotisserie burner option.

Absolute garbage

I bought this two days ago. Assembled the parts and used it with a ten lb chicken on my Baron 440S. Lid wouldnt close properly with included brackets leaving a gap. Used the tiny counterweight re-jigged the chicken could not get it to balance enough that the motor had the torque to spin the chicken continuously in one direction. The motor kept changing direction and one part of it never saw the grill. Also the spits bearing sleeve that sits in the bottom shell of the BBQ has a screw made from the cheesiest metal and stripped the first use. The straw that broke the camels back is when the motor bracket made from paper thin metal bent enough that the spit popped out of the motor and my chicken fell burning the bird. I returned it to Home Hardware for a full refund today. I have just checked and this is the only rotisserie Broil King offers for their units. Absolute Garbage.

I recently purchased a Broil King 490S grill. One of the reasons I purchased this particular grill was the inclusion of the rotisserie burner and the included rotisserie. I tried it out and honestly find it lacking. The counter weight is poorly placed and will rub against the casing when the spit is all the way into the power unit. The other issue is that the spit does not stay in the power unit. I guess I feel if you go to the trouble to design and manufacture your own grill at least make a rotisserie that works correctly with the grill

I have the kit that came with my Signet 70 which is nearly identical to this except for the fact it doesnt have the extension and universal adapters essentially my kit is made for my grill this one for many. The motor is nearly silent is able to rotate two heavy chickens with ease. Two things I found that could be better are the counterweight is not heavy enough to stop badly unbalanced items such as large chickens from negating its effect. The forks are very large and all of the same distance away from the rod and thus will not engage if the item is smaller in diameter. Whole chicken which is what I put on the rotisserie is smaller than the forks at the ends.
